Hueston Woods Acton Lake Dam

This project included the Rehabilitation of the concrete spillway and ogie weir of the Acton Lake dam at Hueston Woods State Park in Ohio. Work also included the installation of a drainage trench system at the dam’s toe of slope, the removal and replacement of the lake drain structure with a slip lined tunnel under the dam to the outlet channel.
Shawnee Roosevelt & Pond Lick Dam Reconstruction

Project included a full reconstruction of the dam located in Shawnee Natural Park Forest. Work included cast in place spillway training and retaining walls, concrete rock anchors, concrete spillway lining and a cast in place spillway culvert. In addition, site work was performed along with 40,000 cu yards of excavation and embankment and 17,000 cu yards of roller compacted concrete for overtopping protection.
Bullock Pen Lake Dam

Complete Dam Rehabilitation including the removal of existing earthen dam, installation of temporary cofferdam, temp water control drainage installation during mutli-phase construction of the final structure. The new replacement dam consists of a labyrinth wall weir and stair-step spillway slab system, approximately 290ft wide and 200ft long; quantities coming in or around 1.5 million pounds of rebar, & 10,000 cubic yards of concrete. Project included 59,000 cubic yards of excavation, 20,000 cubic yards of embankment, 4,000 cubic yards of drainage fill & 1,670lf of grout curtain.

This project involved the repair of the dam’s right wall drain system repair & other concrete structural repairs including partial concrete removal from dam outlet works & excavation of dam embankments. Other work included the hydrodemolition of existing concrete walls & their replacement, other concrete wall patching in limited areas, the construction of a concrete apron, concrete revetment near outlets, and a mechanically stabilized earth wall including drain pipe outlets & headwalls with check valves.
